About the Division of Innovation and Applied Research
The Division of Innovation and Applied Research is one six administrative divisions of Towson University. We serve as a point of entry for businesses, non-profit organizations, government agencies, and community members interested in collaborating with the University.
Formed in 2004, the Division includes a team of 70 expert researchers, technologists, and outreach professionals who, drawing upon their diverse strengths, experience, and unique approaches to problem-solving, create customized solutions that are focused on solving the critical issues facing Maryland’s workforce and economy. We focus on four primary areas:
The Division also provides work opportunities for forward thinking Towson University students to have hands-on involvement on significant projects that help them build the skills to advance in their careers.
